Good-Fit & College Retention

As nearly one in three undergraduates transfer from one four-year college to another, they end up navigating the admissions process more than once, reorienting themselves to new campuses and negotiating the transfer of credits. Those who attend only one institution graduate in less time, pay tuition for fewer semesters, develop stronger institutional ties, mentoring relationships, alumni/professional networks and, not least of all, friendships.

Academic adviser Lionel Anderson of Temple University suggests high school students consider the following steps to land a best-fit college on the first try.
