Key Factors in Admissions Decisions

The results of the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s annual survey of member colleges and universities sheds light on what admissions factors currently figure most prominently in admissions decisions.

Although grades and strength of curriculum always come out on top, other variables like class rank and standardized test scores change over time. Demonstrated interest now ranks higher, in terms of importance, than recommendations.
